1. Acceptance

By creating a Seam account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Seam.

2. Who can use Seam

Seam is intended for university students (initially UCD). You must be old enough to consent to data processing under Irish law and provide accurate account details.

3. What Seam is — and isn't

Seam is a study aid that helps you understand your course material, revise, plan and write. It is not a substitute for official university information. Grades, timetables, deadlines and academic rules should always be confirmed against Brightspace, SISWeb and official UCD sources. Seam can make mistakes.

4. Academic integrity

Seam will not write gradable assignments or exam answers for you to submit as your own — it explains and guides instead. You are responsible for using Seam in line with your university's academic-integrity rules.

5. Acceptable use

Use Seam only with your own account and your own academic data.
Don't attempt to access other users' data, abuse or overload the service, or reverse-engineer it.
Don't use Seam for anything illegal, harmful or infringing.

We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

6. Your data

How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time in Settings.

7. Availability & changes

Seam is provided "as is" while we build it. Features may change, and we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update these terms and will note the date above.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for academic outcomes, decisions made based on Seam's output, or losses arising from use of the service. Always verify important information.
